Kate Moss is arguably one of the most recognizable faces in pop culture, not only for her sexy Nikon ads and her waif-like luster in Calvin Klein panties, but for her alleged coke-snorting antics captured on the front of the British tabloid The Daily Mirror.

Yet, the public still seems captivated with this less-than-model-citizen supermodel enough so that TopShop, a British teeny bopper clothing store, announced last week that the cover girl will be designing a line of clothing for the store, available next April. TopShop is set to open an American branch next year.

"No girl in this country moves until she has seen what Kate Moss is wearing when she steps out of her house,” said Sarah Mower, a London-based writer for American Vogue and Style.com, to The New York Times.

What does this say for TopShop’s image and its eventual move into the US clothing market, as well as into the closets and hearts of teenage girls? Only time will tell, but like so many news venues are currently reporting – the super thin (and reportedly) coke-snorting model is sooo last season.
