BW and Vocus enter partnership

NEW YORK: Business Wire and Vocus have entered into a strategic partnership in which BW will use a private label version of Vocus' PRWeb platform to provide a new search engine optimized (SEO) and social media distribution service for its customers.

NEW YORK: Business Wire and Vocus have entered into a strategic partnership in which BW will use a private label version of Vocus' PRWeb platform to provide a new search engine optimized (SEO) and social media distribution service for its customers.

The co-branded product will enable BW customers to distribute press releases to thousands of news sites and delivered through more than 20,000 RSS feeds.

Michael Lissauer, EVP of marketing and business strategy at BW, noted that the company will encourage existing customers to add the product to complement their existing distribution plans.

"The combination… will tremendously enhance their optimization," he said. "Social media is an integral part of the PR effort, but it's not a standalone PR effort."

In August, BW entered into an agreement with Newsforce to develop a suite of SEO tools for its customers.
