Adult Swim, part of Time Warner and Turner Broadcasting, has posted a mea culpa on its Web site.
While two Interference reps have reportedly been arrested, it is Turner Broadcasting that has assumed at least some responsibility to the media. Reuters:
Turner Broadcasting, a unit of Time Warner Inc., late Wednesday said it was responsible for the devices, which had been installed in 10 major U.S. cities. The devices were intended to promote the "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" cartoon show.
Looks like the story won't end with Interference.
