Kline trades FH for corporate post

LOS ANGELES: Ten-year Fleishman-Hillard executive Richard Kline is leaving his position as the firm's Los Angeles-based regional president and senior partner to move to the corporate world. In his new role, Kline will serve as VP, communications and public affairs at Occidental Petroleum Corporation, a Fortune 500 company also based in LA. Kline began his tenure at Fleishman as EVP in the agency's LA office, advancing to regional president in 2001. According to Kline, "only an extraordinary opportunity would cause me to consider leaving FH … [h]owever, that extraordinary event has occurred." Kline assumes his new responsibilities as of Monday, Feb. 12.
