Widmeyer wins EPA, HRI contracts

WASHINGTON: The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded a contract to Widmeyer Communications to assist the EPA’s Radiation Protection Division with crisis communications. Terms of the contract, which was not competitively bid, were undisclosed. In addition, the New York State Department of Health-affiliated non-profit Health Research Incorporated has hired the Consortium for Risk and Crisis Communication – which consists of Widmeyer and the Center for Risk Communications – to do research on faith-based organizations and their attitudes toward providing information to their constituencies on public health emergencies. Terms of this contract were also undisclosed.
