The previously noted Edwards healthcare DVD has been rung up for a sneaky slight of hand trick. It seems Slate reporter John Dickerson noticed that a speech in the video didn't go exactly as he'd remembered. Edwards' staff had used some tricky editing to make it appear the candidate was talking about healthcare and receiving a huge response when in fact he was talking about Iraq. How will this play?

It may be ignored, but as Dickerson points out, when the Bush campaign digitally rearranged soldiers standing behind the president during a press conference, there was an outcry. Edwards sure is making an effort to be the most “with it” candidate in terms of technology. But he’s also learning along the way, not something you want to do on the campaign trail for President.
