Don Bates and Master’s program at GWU

WASHINGTON: Don Bates is leaving Media Distribution Services (MDS) after 10 years to become the academic director for the new Master's program in Strategic PR at George Washington University. Bates, who has taught previously at Columbia University and New School University, will continue as an advisor and consultant at MDS. The GWU Master's program will launch in the fall offering both a graduate certificate and a Master of Professional Studies degree. The programs will study ethics, new media, and PR convergence with other communications functions, such as advertising and government affairs.
