NEW YORK: Nielsen BuzzMetrics has launched The Brand Association Map, a visualization tool that mines consumer-generated media like blogs and ratings site to deduce the most important language, attributes, issues, and themes associated with a brand.

NEW YORK: Nielsen BuzzMetrics has launched The Brand Association Map, a visualization tool that mines consumer-generated media like blogs and ratings site to deduce the most important language, attributes, issues, and themes associated with a brand.

"The Brand Association Map takes a powerful snapshot of a brand DNA, helping marketers reconcile intuition and beliefs about brands with how consumers really contextualize them," said Jerry Needel, SVP of product management, in a statement. "This aids understanding of true brand health, and results in marketers asking the right questions and making better decisions."

Nielsen said the product will be useful for marketers, researchers, and media buyers among others.
