IPG acquires search marketing firm

NEW YORK: Interpublic Group has signed an agreement to acquire Reprise Media, an independent search engine marketing firm. Reprise will become part of IPG's Futures Marketing Group. The holding company noted in a release, though, that Reprise will "remain a stand-alone unit that will partner with agencies throughout the holding company as well as seek out its own clients." Current Reprise managing partners Peter Hershberg and Joshua Stylman will continue to lead the firm. Clients include Microsoft, USA Today, Harper Collins, and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. "The pace at which marketing dollars will flow to emerging media that are accountable and cost efficient will continue to accelerate," said IPG CEO Michael Roth in a statement. "These powerful trends are what make our acquisition of Reprise Media so significant."
