WPP invests in VideoEgg

SAN FRANCISCO: WPP has acquired a minority stake in VideoEgg, which operates a network that connects advertisers to social networking sites. WPP, which valued the assets acquired through the investment at $3.5 million, said the new partnership should allow its clients to better reach social networks and user-generated content. VideoEgg has previously received investments from Maveron, August Capital, and First Round Capital.
