White House’s Soper joins Direct Impact

WASHINGTON: Steven Soper, previously associate director of the White House office of political affairs, has joined Burson-Marsteller public affairs subsidiary Direct Impact as VP of client service. At the White House, Soper was the primary contact for the Republican campaigns and state parties in the Northeast US and, among other duties, coordinated travel to the region by Vice President Cheney, First Lady Laura Bush, and White House senior staff.
