GREATER FT. LAUDERDALE, FL: The Greater Ft. Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) is seeking an AOR for an account worth $500,000 per year.

GREATER FT. LAUDERDALE, FL: The Greater Ft. Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) is seeking an AOR for an account worth $500,000 per year.

M. Silver Associates has been the organization's AOR for over 20 years. GFLCVB's business must go out for bid at regular intervals because it's a government agency. M. Silver's last contract, which began in 2002, spanned three years with two one-year options. The agency will respond to maintain the business, but gave no further comment. Nicki Grossman, president and CEO of the GFLCVB, calls the services they've provided for the group "terrific."

"They've been a great guidance partner," she said.

With the opening of Florida's first St. Regis Resort on May 1, the GFLCVB now wants to break into the luxury market.

"We're relying on our PR agency to get us in the door of the luxury publication world and get us on those editorial pages quickly," says Grossman.

Requests for letters of interest are due in the Broward County Purchasing Office by 5pm on May 23.
