Council survey shows rising revenues

NEW YORK: A survey conducted by the Council of Public Relations Firms reports that revenues for Q1 2007 rose 8.8% over Q1 2006, with 90% of firms questioned expecting greater gains over the course of the year. Revenues for 2006 increased an average of 13.9% for the year. The sectors showing the most growth were consumer, technology, and healthcare. Over half of the organization's firms' revenues were generated in marketing communications (51%), with other revenues coming from corporate communications (26%) and public affairs (11%).
