FeedBlitz newsletters take care of technical work

The evolution of online technology is constantly allowing marketers and communications specialists to reach smaller and smaller niche audiences with every clever new toy the Internet dreams up.

Whereas once blogs were the fresh new mode of communication, new tools like Twitter, RSS feeds, and mobile phone messaging are considered important ways to reach an audience today.

As the array of tools grows, so does the complexity of coordinating their use. That's where FeedBlitz's new product, its Newsletter Edition, comes in. It is designed to allow companies and agencies to reach clients in virtually any communication platform with a targeted newsletter that can have a greater business impact than lower-quality simple text communications.

FeedBlitz founder Phil Hollows says the Newsletter Edition removes the need for marketers to understand the complexities of the various communication channels they want to use. All they have to do is create the content, and FeedBlitz will ensure it is presented professionally and delivered wherever (and however) it needs to go. That includes e-mail, instant messaging, social media, RSS feeds, Web sites, and methods like Twitter or Skype.

"It's a great way for traditional marketers and newsletter publishers to reach this highly influential group without having to jump through IT hoops and fret about individual technologies," Hollows explains.

Piers Fawkes, founder of PSFK.com and a Newsletter Edition customer, says the product has arrived just in time to take advantage of the increasingly fragmented media options available to all.

"Over the past six months, there's suddenly been a proliferation of new ways of delivering content and sending that content out," he says. "For us it's been difficult - do we have to reprogram our Web site every time we want to send information through Skype or through a mobile phone?"

The FeedBlitz system he says, allows all users to "have the information their way" without necessitating any internal technical work, allowing his company to reach the early adopters who use the newest technologies.

Key points:

FeedBlitz's Newsletter Edition allows companies and firms to send personalized, branded newsletters via various technologies

Customers are more receptive to newsletters they receive in the way they, not the sender, prefer

The product's price is keyed to how much the company uses it
