SAN FRANCISCO: Citigate Cunningham has been selected to promote Keynote Systems' mobility application following a competitive bid.

Keynote provides testing and measurement products for mobile communications and the Internet.

Citigate will promote Keynote's new capability that allows companies to monitor and gauge whether its applications run efficiently on mobile devices.

"We hired Citigate to get the word out to mobile content developers and to enterprise companies that want to make sure their sites are accessible on wireless devices," said Dan Berkowitz, senior director of corporate communications at Keynote.

Citigate's 12-month, six-figure renewable contract is focused on the mobility capability, but it could become AOR if Keynote is satisfied with results, he added. Keynote previously worked with Citigate on a search-engines project in China.

"We're aiming to build a strong leadership position," said Citigate president/CEO Paul Bergevin.

Bergevin described the campaign as "systematic" outreach to horizontal, vertical, IT and business press, and analysts, as well using social media and participating in industry conferences.

Keynote previously worked with Ruder Finn and Eastwick Communications.
