NEW YORK: Four Corners PR has ended its 11-year relationship with Dennis Publishing. Four Corners had provided corporate and editorial PR counsel to Dennis' Maxim and Blender magazines.

Drew Kerr, president of Four Corners PR, said he gave Dennis Corporation notice about a week ago cited the sale of Dennis Publishing's US arm to private equity firm Quadrangle Group.

"This was my own doing," Kerr said. "They were bought and there is a new regime taking over... so when you sense winds of change, I thought it was best for everybody concerned that I bow out on my own terms."

Quadrangle could not immediately be reached for comment.

Kerr said he no idea whether or not was planning on getting rid of Dennis' agency partners, but he didn't want to give them the chance.

"My rule about this has always been that I would leave on my own terms," Kerr said.
