Fall’s TV lineup announcement proved one thing: surely, times have changed. What was once a male-dominated world of TV shows has now become focused on females…rich, smart, won’t-tolerate-being-second-to-men chicks, to be exact. These are the women occupying the prime-time lineup and taking on roles that were once reserved for men: the cops, the lawyers, the talented minds running the course of the business world.

Take, for example, Angie Harmon as a hardcore police lieutenant, Lucy Liu as a successful publishing executive, and Patricia Heaton as a ladder-climbing news anchor. Gone are the days of vampire slaying Buffys and the hocus pocus witches (from “Charmed”) saving the day. These women are fierce, they’re real, and they rule.
Yup. Welcome to the new world on television, where the women are strong, and the men are cavemen. Literally. ABC's "Cavemen," based on the Geico ad campaign character, is about a trio of Cro-Magnons with low self-esteem and a little hair-growth problem.

The season premieres are only a week away and look promising. I'll be sure to tune in to the new shows, except for say "Bionic Woman," which seems a little futuristic/science fiction for my taste. I'm all for the dramas and comedies. Which show are you most looking forward to?
