WPP buys 49.9% of PBN

LONDON: WPP has acquired a 49.9% stake in PBN, a 115-person strategic communications firm focused on Russia, Ukraine, and other former Soviet Union countries. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though existing PBN stakeholders will retain control of the company. PBN clients include BP, Bristol-Myers-Squibb, Mittal Steel, and Motorola, as well as a number of large businesses based in the region. The company last year generated about $10.6 million in revenue.
