We’re all aware of the impact a celebrity has on a new brand, especially in the trend-driven fashion industry, and as fashion week recently came to an end, The Wall Street Journal Heard it on the Runway blog zoomed in on the simple power of a car service in ensuring that the celebrity attends a show or event. The PR firm for Brazilian beachwear line Rosa Cha, “a line trying to build cachet in the U.S.,” applied the strategy and met success when Daisy Fuentes, Mena Suvari, and pop star JC Chasez rolled up to the show in the provided car service.
Providing a car is critical to getting famous people to an event, says Courtney Routt, a publicist who specializes in booking celebrities: “Once they’re in the car, you know where they are and you can get them to your show.”

Really, how do you flake out if the car is there waiting? So simple and so genius!
