Edelman strengthens its sports & sponsorship division

CHARLOTTE, NC: In a move intended to help strengthen its motorsports portfolio, Edelman has named Steve Brown SVP of its sports & sponsorship division. The motorsports industry veteran's focus will be the agency's national motorsports team, which handles public relations, racing media services, media training crisis planning, sponsorship counsel, strategic marketing initiatives, promotional programs, and evaluation/ROI for its NASCAR clients. Brown, who was previously director of marketing/communications for Dale Earnhardt, Inc, will work with Lisa Boggs, VP at Edelman Chicago, who leads NASCAR programs for clients such as Office Depot, Shell, and Burger King.
