Reuters reports that a few hundred customers lined up outside of Deutsche Telekom to buy the product at midnight before it went on sale across the country, while T-Mobile representatives handed out blankets, umbrellas, snacks, and beverages.

According to the Associated Press, the hefty fee of the phone and contract drew complaints, as cost of the phone comes out to 399 euros (about $587), and contracts through T-Mobile start at 49 euros ($72) a month, along with a 25 euro ($37) activation fee.
