SAN FRANCISCO: Kohnke Communications is suing video game Perpetual Entertainment for “at least $80,675” for its work promoting the unreleased game Gods & Heroes.

Under a contract between Kohnke and Perpetual, Kohnke was to be paid $15,000 per month to create pre-release “buzz” and positive reviews for the online role-playing game, with $10,000 per month in payments delayed until after the game's release, when incentives could be calculated and added on to the compensation.

The suit claims Perpetual failed to inform Kohnke it planned to delay or cancel the release, then this fall transferred most of its assets, including a game called Star Trek Online, to another company, P2 Entertainment, in an alleged scheme to defraud Perpetual's creditors.

Kohnke and Perpetual did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
