Pakistan embassy hires Ogilvy

WASHINGTON: The embassy of Pakistan has hired Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide to provide US media relations under a three-month, $45,000-per-month contract. The work consists of providing media training to embassy representatives, drafting informational materials, arranging meetings and other contact with media, and providing strategic guidance on US media. The work is intended to "improve general representations in the media of the relationship between the United States and Pakistan," according to a Justice Department filing. Cassidy & Associates had previously been hired for the work but terminated the contract following the Pakistan government's declaration of martial law.
