Ex-Fema Philbin joins PIER Systems

BELLINGHAM, WA: John P "Pat" Philbin, the former FEMA director of external affairs widely criticized for overseeing a news conference at which FEMA staffers posed as reporters, has been named an SVP at PIER Systems, a provider of information management systems. Philbin, who is also a former head of public affairs for the US Coast Guard, will serve as a Washington, DC-based liaison with federal, state, and local government agency clients as well as help promote the company in the commercial, industrial, and educational markets.
