Publicis releases 2007 earnings

PARIS: Publicis Groupe released its 2007 earnings, which showed growth across the board: Revenue was up 6.5% to 4.671 billion Euros (about US$6.813 billion); operating margin was up 9.3% to 779,000,000 Euros (about US $1.136 billion); and operating margin was up to 16.7%. (All currency figures include exchange rate impact.) The only soft spot indicated by CEO Maurice Levy was organic growth which only inched up 3.1%. He attributed the slow growth to issues in the pharmaceutical sector. Marketing services and digital now represent 36% of total revenue.
