Havas reports strong earnings

SURESNES, FRANCE: Havas reported an organic growth in earnings of 7.1% in 2007, with a 9.8% increase in the fourth quarter. For the first time since 2000, the group saw growth in all regions and all businesses, especially in digital, which boasted a 28% increase. Annual revenue for the company went to approximately $2.24 billion from $2.15 billion in 2006. While Havas did not break down its revenue from PR, Euro RSCG, which handles both advertising and PR, reported a 5.5% increase in business. “The growth reported by Havas in 2007 is above our expectations and confirms the turnaround successfully undertaken by the Group over the past two years,” said Fernando Rodés Vilà, the CEO of Havas, in a statement.
