Environmental Defense names Yarnold for dual promotion

WASHINGTON: Environmental Defense (ED), a 40-year-old national nonprofit with more than 500,000 members, has named David Yarnold as executive director and president of the organization's lobbying arm, the Environmental Defense Action Fund. Yarnold is a Pulitzer Prize-winner who joined ED in April 2005 as the organization's first EVP. He will be responsible for all operations at ED and its global offices, which include Bentonville, AK, Beijing, and Los Angeles.
