PRWeek promotes Hood and O'Brien

NEW YORK: Haymarket Media has promoted Julia Hood to the role of publishing director of PRWeek and Keith O'Brien to the position of PRWeek editor-in-chief.

NEW YORK: Haymarket Media has promoted Julia Hood to the role of publishing director of PRWeek and Keith O'Brien to the position of PRWeek editor-in-chief.

Hood, who was previously editor-in-chief, will report to Lisa Kirk, Haymarket managing director, marketing and technology publications. O'Brien, who was previously executive editor, will report to Hood.

In her new role, Hood will assume brand leadership responsibilities for PRWeek. An eight year veteran of Haymarket Media, Hood joined PRWeek as a reporter in 2000. She also served as San Francisco bureau chief, before becoming editor-in-chief in 2002. She was also named editorial director of DMNews in 2007, a position she will retain.

“These new promotions underpin and bolster our existing business and position us for new opportunities and continued expansion of our product offerings,” Kirk said.

O'Brien joined Haymarket Media in 2004 as editor of PRWeek.com. Since then, he has been promoted to news editor in 2006 and executive editor in 2007. He will report to Hood.
