B-M and Asda'a create Mideast network

BRUSSELS: Burson-Marsteller (B-M) and Asda'a, a PR firm with 160 employees in 11 offices in the Middle East, have merged to form a network for the region. The merge follows WPP Group's majority investment in The Holding Group (THG). WPP is the holding group for B-M and Asda'a is part of THG. The new network will be called Asda’a Burson-Marsteller and will be integrated into Burson-Marsteller Europe, Middle East, and Africa. For the last four years, Asda'a had a partnership with Edelman. The two groups are working on a three-month contract while Edelman seeks a new affiliate, according to David Brain, president and CEO, Europe.
