DSG launches Latinovations

WASHINGTON: Dewey Square Group officially launched its Latinovations practice group on July 2 at the National Association of Latino Elected and Appointed Officials annual conference, after a soft launch at the end of 2007. Led by principals Maria Cardona, Maria Robles Meier, and Cynthia Jasso Rotunno, the group will be based in Washington, with an office in LA. Marketed as a one-stop shop for clients reaching out to the Hispanic community via all forms of communication, Cardona said the principals involved have experience in politics, with the press, in grassroots campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and more. "We have this very unique reach into the Hispanic community that expands to any facet of communicating that a client would need to reach the Hispanic market," Cardona said, describing the group as campaigns "from Latinos to Latinos." Some current clients include AT&T and California-based Hylands Homeopathy. Cardona also worked with Sen. Hillary Clinton during her presidential campaign. Additionally, the practice group launched La Plaza, a blog and newsletter that provides the latest political news that relates to the US Latino community.
