Gibraltar Associates' snag James Lake

WASHINGTON: James Lake has left his post as chairman of public affairs at Burson-Marsteller, where he has worked for the past seven years, to join Gibraltar Associates’ Washington office as partner and president. At Burson he had managed eight offices and nearly 100 employees, oversaw his group’s international portfolio, and the reorganization of the agency’s public affairs practice. At Gibraltar, an expanding public affairs and corporate communications boutique firm, Lake, who joins September 15, will work to expand the agency’s domestic and international reach. Burson named global public affairs chair Josh Gottheimer interim director.
