Google's growth continues with new NBC-ad deal

Google and NBC partner; Sprint reaches out to consumers; Cosmopolitan kicks off campaign honoring female musicians; and more.

As Google continues to expand its platform and partnerships, its image is also broadening.

It most recently announced an ad partnership with NBC Universal, which will allow the search engine to target TV viewers by bringing web-based tactics to traditional advertising.

This expansion into network television will provide Google with an opportunity, which The Wall Street Journal notes it has been lacking in the past.

The New York Times agrees that large media companies will now be more willing to work with the company due to the new partnership.

Ford, General Motors, and Chrysler are planning to lobby the government for approximately $50 billion in low-cost loans to aid the ailing auto industry.

Sprint plans to help customers better understand their phones.

The dollar reportedly hit a one-year high, following the treasury's announcement of helming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
