CNNMoney.com retirement channel pitches to trades

NEW YORK: Time Warner is conducting media outreach to trade publications for the launch of CNNMoney.com’s retirement channel, which was launched September 9. The channel has a target audience ranging from readers in their 20s to retirement age, said Diana Sousa, VP of communications for Time Warner’s Fortune/Money Group. “What we learned is that because of the market volatility, whether you’re 20 [years old] or one year away from retirement, you’re really starting to think about how you will be ready,” she said. “It’s designed so that you can go directly to whatever life stage you’re in.” Time Warner's internal PR staff is handling outreach for the channel without the help of an outside agency.
