ClickCare hires social media firm in Halifax

NEW YORK: ClickCare is using social media outreach to help grow its Web-based subscription service, which allows medical professionals to use digital video, sound, and other online media to communicate about a patient's condition.

MediaBadger, a social media and Web PR agency based in Halifax, won the business after meeting ClickCare at the Atlantica Forum held in Vermont earlier this month. The event is co-hosted by the Atlantic Provinces Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Economic Development Council of Northern Vermont, and is designed to encourage collaboration among American and Canadian companies in the region.

“ClickCare wants to reach out to doctors, nurses, paramedics, and emergency care personnel so they can get buy-in for the service, which would then find its way upwards to the decision maker in a hospital or emergency care service,” said Giles Crouch, CEO of MediaBadger. Crouch said the efforts focus on the US market.

Using its media monitoring service, Crouch said MediaBadger identified medical professionals who are active bloggers.

“We will go to blogs, newsgroups, forums, and chat rooms—a multi-channel approach—to broadcast the message, but also engage in a conversation with them,” said Crouch. “We will take on the conversational role of the client.”
