Another VC advises startups to 'overcommunicate'

Kleiner Perkins' venture capitalist John Doerr recommends that startups up their communications during the downturn. Doerr, who according to ValleyWag is best known for funding Friendster, recently told entrepreneurs, "Overcommunicate with everyone -– employees, investors, partners and particularly customers. "Don't sugar coat things, communicate your resolve."

The advice is somewhat in-step with advice Doug Leone, a general partner at Sequoia Capital, gave a few weeks ago urging startups to be aggressive with PR when times are tough.
