CAMBRIDGE, MA: Feinstein Kean Healthcare (FKH), a unit of Ogilvy PR, has named Marcia Kean its CEO, marking the founder's return to the fold. She takes the reigns from Pat Jones, former office head, who has agreed to continue working for FKH as a consultant.

Kean, FKH's former MD of corporate communications, left the firm in May 2001 to work for Ardais Corporation. She served as SVP of commercialization at the clinical genomics firm.

"I wanted to do something different for a while," she said, "and returning to my roots on the in-house side allowed me to look at the issues of an emerging biotech company up close."

Prior to her first run at FKH, Kean was VP of corporate communications for Damon Corporation. Previously, she was manager of financial relations for SmithKline.

Kean cited aggressive hiring, international relations, and new biotech strategies as areas of immediate concern at FKH.

Founder Peter Feinstein left the firm last year to become chairman of BioVentures Investors. Kean was made partner of the firm in 1988, when she established a corporate communications practice at the agency. Ogilvy acquired FKH in 1999.
