Chicago PR icons band together for custom seminars

CHICAGO: Three veterans of the Chicago PR scene are joining together to offer customized seminars for corporate marketing and public relations departments.

CHICAGO: Three veterans of the Chicago PR scene are joining together to offer customized seminars for corporate marketing and public relations departments.

The new venture, Three's Company, brings together Tom Harris, a former partner and president of Golin/Harris International; Kathy Rand, who most recently was managing director of MS&L Chicago; and Judith Rich, who was most recently an EVP and chief creative officer at Ketchum.

"We've all worked together over the years," said Harris, who has long conducted his own integrated marketing communications seminars, and taught in the IMC program at Northwestern University.

Harris will offer the integrated marketing portion of any seminar, Rand will look at client-agency relationships, and Rich will focus on creativity, Harris explained. Another topic the trio will cover is evaluating the success of marketing public relations programs.

Each of the three principals will maintain their separate consulting businesses.
