MALDEN, MA: Corporate Communications Broadcast Network (CCBN) has hired PR agency Topaz Partners as it looks to build its brand beyond the financial community. The agency takes over for Schwartz Communications.
CCBN, which is mainly known for developing and managing the IR and corporate governance sections of companies' websites, also hosts webcasts.
"About 40% of our webcasts are non-IR related," explained Cindy Sullivan, CCBN's single in-house PR person. "We will work with Topaz on moving more in that direction. The IR industry already knows us."
A four-person account team at Topaz, including its two principals, will focus primarily on media outreach.
"We're pulling out all the stops on this one," said Tony Sapienza, principal of the firm, "because we feel there is a great story to tell."
