Former FAA head joins APCO Worldwide

WASHINGTON: Jane Garvey, former head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has joined APCO Worldwide as EVP and chairman of its transportation practice.

WASHINGTON: Jane Garvey, former head of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), has joined APCO Worldwide as EVP and chairman of its transportation practice.

Garvey expressed enthusiasm regarding the state of the international transportation market, as well as APCO's unique ability to help clients capitalize on current opportunities.

"From an international perspective, there are some wonderful opportunities for both US and European businesses, particularly in aviation," she said, "And APCO has a unique global reach and fantastic reputation."

Garvey has a long history in transportation, having previously served as head of the Federal Highway Administration and director of Logan International Airport.

She joins other nationally recognized transportation figures at APCO such as former MD of the National Transportation Safety Board Peter Goelz, who doubles as a frequent aviation commentator for CNN.
