CINCINNATI: Rick Miller, the former EVP and head of PR at Northlich, has become president of the integrated firm. In his new role, he'll oversee advertising, PR, media, interactive, and influence marketing.

Greg Sendi, a former VP and associate director in the firm's PR practice, will take over for Miller as managing director and SVP of PR.

In another PR move, the firm has hired Bill Dobson from Procter & Gamble as a senior counselor. Dobson had been with P&G for 29 years, and retired in July 2002.

With company owner Mark Serrianne moving up from president to chairman and CEO, Miller's change of titles is "a logical next step to formalize what I've already been doing," he said.

Miller said his promotion also shows the holistic approach Northlich takes to integrated communications. "What we've always believed in and supported is great ideas, no matter where they came from," he said.

In 2001, Northlich won a major anti-smoking assignment from the state of Ohio. Last year, it hired 25 new employees - five in PR - as it grew to handle the state assignment.
