AUSTIN, TX: National PRSA president Reed Byrum last week settled into office space at GCI Read-Poland under a consulting arrangement.

Byrum was MD of public and analyst relations for Austin software company Trilogy until May 2002, when he left to focus on PRSA duties and speaking engagements. Since then, he has worked as an independent consultant to Trilogy and other small hi-tech companies.

Byrum will work for GCI Read-Poland clients as well as his own, and will collaborate with the firm on new-business development, targeting companies seeking corporate-governance help, said CEO Jeff Hunt.

"This innovative relationship with an industry leader of Reed's caliber will enable us to more quickly engage our clients on some of the industry's most pressing issues," GCI Group CEO Bob Feldman said in a press release.
