LOS ANGELES: Creative Artists Agency (CAA), one of Hollywood's top talent and literary brokers, has hired Latina magazine founder Christy Haubegger as a marketing consultant.

Haubegger will assist CAA corporate clients with creating entertainment marketing initiatives that reach out to the increasingly influential Hispanic market. She will also help entertainment clients tailor their offerings to better reach Hispanic consumers.

Haubegger founded Latina magazine in 1996. Since then, it has grown to a circulation of approximately 250,000.

Lauded as a branding and marketing expert, Haubegger recently turned her skills to the entertainment sector as an associate producer on the upcoming Fox 2000 film Chasing Papi. She was instrumental in putting together a deal between the low-budget Latin-themed picture and Jeep, which integrated the vehicles into the script and created a large-scale promotion.

"Christy is an influential leader in the Hispanic community, and a prominent entrepreneur who created an important publication that speaks to and empowers this community," said CAA president Richard Lovett.
