Aiello moves back into account work with PA job at H&K

NEW YORK: After just under nine months as chairman of Cohn & Wolfe, Stephen Aiello is leaving to take on the role of senior counselor for public affairs at Hill & Knowlton.

NEW YORK: After just under nine months as chairman of Cohn & Wolfe, Stephen Aiello is leaving to take on the role of senior counselor for public affairs at Hill & Knowlton.

The former Cohn & Wolfe CEO, who was replaced in that role by Donna Imperato last year, will provide counsel on New York political and governmental affairs, and cultivating business in the city and state. He will report to Marilyn Castaldi, GM of H&K's New York office.

"I'm excited about the opportunity to return to my roots in public affairs with one of the premier brands in our industry," he said. "I look forward to doing what gives me the most professional satisfaction: counseling clients, developing new businesses, and mentoring people."

MaryLee Sachs, president and CEO of H&K USA, added, "This is all about him returning to what he knows best - public affairs."

An assistant in the Carter administration, Aiello also served as president of the New York City Board of Education from 1976 to 1979.
