WASHINGTON: Jim Neill, former senior aide to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-TN), joined The MWW Group's Washington, DC office as a VP last week.

The DC veteran will take a leading role in managing the agency's public affairs and lobbying efforts. He will also serve on the management committee of the Washington office.

Before his stint at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), chaired by Frist during the 2002 election cycle, Neill served as Senate liaison for then-Wisconsin Governor Tommy Thompson, now secretary of Health and Human Services. He started his political career in 1994 on the campaign - and then on the senatorial staff - of Spencer Abraham (R-MI), now secretary of energy.

Michael Kempner, CEO of MWW, said Neill's experience would complement the firm's various practices.
