TOY BOX: Mini-fridge is so cool, it's also hot

Say goodbye to the days of worrying about your lunch getting nabbed by sneaky coworkers with no regard for the increasingly stern labeling job you do on your brown bag (i.e., what once read, "Mary's lunch" now says, "Touch this and die").

Say goodbye to the days of worrying about your lunch getting nabbed by sneaky coworkers with no regard for the increasingly stern labeling job you do on your brown bag (i.e., what once read, "Mary's lunch" now says, "Touch this and die").

Vector's Deskmate mini-fridge is ideal for keeping food and drinks (it can hold up to eight soda cans) cold, and within personal reach. With the click of a switch, it transforms into a warmer that is perfect for housing coffee or pre-heated soup. While it's novel to have the option, I found it likely that users will use the Deskmate as either a cooler or warmer, but not both, as it takes approximately two hours for a fully cooled unit to reach its maximum warming temperature. The Deskmate is unobtrusive, highly practical, and even a stylish addition to the traditionally drab cubicle. Available in red, blue, silver, and black, its rounded edges and chrome handle give the mini-fridge a retro look that - for reasons in addition to the above-mentioned - is sure to make all your fellow brown baggers jealous. The verdict: Get one. Any questions?
