BOTHELL, WA: In the competitive world of athletic shoes, Brooks Sports is looking to hit the ground running with its latest efforts to attract the interest of the business media. The company has therefore tapped MWW/Savitt to improve its media relations.
"We are enlisting their experience with business media relations," said corporate communications manager Jacqueline Hennessey.
"We want to enhance that aspect of our media relations.
"This is important to our board of directors. I'm the first corporate communications manager the company has had - I came in last May. So I'm trying to raise the bar a bit."
After targeting national business media, MWW/Savitt will help Brooks focus on consumer media, along with the local business press.
"We have always been a competitive company," asserted Hennessey. "We like to differentiate ourselves. We are a running company, and we are focused on the fit over the fashion. I'm looking forward to enhancing our brand in the media."
