BOSTON: Washington, DC-based online public affairs shop Mindshare Internet Campaigns has tapped a former aide to Vice President Al Gore, Brian Reich, to head its Northeast operations. Reich will also head the firm's new office in Boston.
Reich served as Gore's briefing director both in the White House and during his 2000 Presidential campaign. He also founded Mouse Communications, a firm that offers online services to candidates and elected officials.
"[Mouse] will still exist, but basically my clients and my expertise will merge into my Mindshare work," said Reich.
Mouse's clients have included former Vice President Gore, the Congressional Black Caucus PAC, and Rolling Requiem, a commemoration of September 11.
According to Mindshare co-founder Shabbir Safdar, the firm plans to open a third office in Pittsburgh later this month.
