NEW YORK: Music television network VH1 has named two new senior executives in its communications department.

Brett Henne, formerly a communications consultant with a number of cable channels, has joined the network as director of corporate communications. Henne has worked for Lifetime Television and Burson-Marsteller, where he worked on accounts including IBM and business development for the French government.

He replaces Tracy McGraw, who has been promoted from communications director to VP of communications. A publicist at fellow Viacom property CBS before joining the network in 1997, she will oversee publicity teams for VH1 programs and special programming events.

Henne will oversee day-to-day corporate communications and publicity for the network's digital channels. Both will report to Laura Nelson, SVP of VH1 Communications.

"Tracy and Brett's extensive knowledge of the industry is top-notch," Nelson said. "Their outstanding work ethic and strong background are the qualities that drive VH1 press efforts."
