NEW YORK: This issue of PRWeek includes several new elements, including offering a fresh look at media, and a new feature on agency management.

The media section has been redesigned, and includes a column by media reporter Matthew Creamer, entitled Media Brands, which analyzes how media companies market themselves in a changing competitive landscape, and how that impacts PR.

The section also now includes Journalist Q&A, with a debut entry by Josh Quittner, editor of Business 2.0. Media Watch has been reformatted, and Media Roundup remains.

Also debuting is a new element called The Agency Business, which will focus on management challenges facing PR firms of all sizes, including such issues as pricing, hiring and retaining talent, client conflict, and procurement. Paul Cordasco, recently promoted to news editor, will also edit this section.

In other PRWeek news, Eleanor Trickett has been named features editor. James Chase, who previously held that position, is now managing editor of Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M), our sister publication, also headquartered in New York.

Melanie Shortman, formerly editorial assistant, has been promoted to reporter.
