Janjigian takes on corporate comms SVP role with MGM

LOS ANGELES: MGM has appointed a new SVP of corporate communications.

LOS ANGELES: MGM has appointed a new SVP of corporate communications.

Janet Janjigian, who has been working with MGM for a few months, was officially moved into her new role last week. She will assist with corporate communications throughout the company, which includes MGM Pictures, United Artists, and MGM Television Entertainment, among other divisions. She will also be involved in communications for MGM's mentoring programs, and will work with the MPAA on congressional issues. She reports to Joe Fitzgerald, EVP of IR and corporate communications.

Prior to joining MGM, Janjigian worked in television news as a senior producer for NBC News, and producer for both NBC Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and ABC News' Nightline with Ted Koppel. In LA, she worked as a producer at CNN Newsstand.

MGM has also hired David Bloom in the publicity department, but has not made an

official announcement. Bloom was formerly a reporter with Daily Variety, covering studios including MGM.
